CSA bouquets = weekly locally grown FLOWERS!

Watch the season change with weekly bouquets brimming with locally grown goodies.

What is a CSA? CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This means you pay upfront for a certain amount of bouquets, delivered weekly throughout the growing season. Pick and choose which months you want to receive flowers from June through September.

How It Works

Pick and choose which months you want to receive flowers every Thursday throughout June, July, August, & September.

We have two drop off locations for our bouquet CSA; Dunn Brother Coffee & Provisions in Eagan, MN (1012 Diffley Rd, Eagan, MN 55123) & Forager Brewery in Rochester, MN (1005 6th St NW). Please respect these partners by picking up your CSA every week within the following time windows.

Eagan CSAs will be delivered weekly on Thursdays throughout the summer to Dunn Brothers. Please pick up your bouquet anytime between 9am and 1pm.

Rochester CSAs will be delivered for the remainder of the season weekly on Thursdays through the summer to Forager Brewery. Please pick up your bouquet anytime between 10am and 7pm.

Four weeks of locally grown spring tulips. Loads and loads of unique spring tulip varieties not normally sold as cut flowers including doubles, parrots, and singles in a rainbow of colors.

Please note that due to the unpredictable nature of the spring thaw here in Minnesota, the start date for this CSA is TBD and weather-dependent. The Four weeks will most likely fall in May. The exact start date will be emailed to subscribers one week beforehand.

All Tulip CSAs include a weekly email with a reminder about your order. Have any questions? Contact Allie at bleedheartfloral@gmail.com

The drop-off location for Tulip CSA will be the same as described above.

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Basically this means you sign up in advance for weekly deliveries of agricultural products. In this case, you would be signing up for weekly bouquets of fresh cut flowers. All of these flowers are locally grown and seasonally available which allows you to watch the seasons change from week to week.

How long do the shares run for?

The shares run every month from June through September. You have the option to choose whichever month you most love the flowers (i.e. peonies in June or dahlias in September). You also can choose multiple months to enjoy the changing flowers all summer long.

What if I can't pick up my flowers one of the weeks?

Contact us ASAP and we can work with you. If it means picking up a little bit later or on the farm, that's totally fine as long as we have a 48 hour heads up. If you are out of town, we can move that bouquet to another week in a different month, create an extra large bouquet for you for the following week's pick up, or (our personal favorite) you can gift your bouquet to a friend or family member for the week you are unable to pick up! Whichever you decide, PLEASE let us know of your plans by shooting us an email!

How do you determine your pricing?

Our CSA is competitively priced compared to other bouquet CSAs in the area. We don't want to undercut other local growers. This is the true cost of flowers. Flowers are not cheap to produce. We grow exclusively cut flowers, and we need to cover our costs in order to continue growing flowers in the future. Your money is supporting a small scale, family owned and operated farm using organic and sustainable agricultural practices. All of these things contribute to a little bit higher price point then you might see at farmer's markets or roadside stands.

Who are you guys?

Bleed Heart Floral Farm & Design is a small cut flower farm located in the Zumbro River Valley just outside of Mazeppa, MN. We use organic and sustainable farming practices to ensure premium quality cut flowers firmly rooted in time and place. We strongly believe in locally grown and seasonally available flora, ensuring the freshest blooms for you using floral design inspired by the beauty all around us on the farm.

Where do I pick up my flowers?

Pick up flowers every THURSDAY either in Eagan or Rochester, MN. Pick up locations are:

  • Dunn Brothers Coffee & Provisions in Eagan (1012 Diffley Rd)

  • Forager Brewery in Rochester (1005 6th St NW)

How much does it cost and how big of a bouquet can I expect?

Bouquets work out to be $25/week & have 18-22 stems depending upon what is currently blooming.

How long can I expect a bouquet to last?

Generally 5-7 days with proper cut flower care (i.e. getting them into water immediately, changing the water daily, etc). Some things such as zinnias, foxglove, and cosmos just don't have that long of a vase life (3-5 days) but they're so pretty we can't not add them into bouquets. Remove any stems that look wilted or sad as the week goes by!

The easiest way to give quality flowers

Give the gift that keeps on giving – CSA bouquets! Simply pay once and pick up fresh flowers every week. Your loved ones will be consistently impressed by these beautiful arrangements.

Why Local

Know Your Blooms: The Local Advantage in Transparency and Freshness!

Flowers from the traditional floral trade travel hundreds of miles in refrigerated compartments of airplanes and semi trucks, often out of water and having to sit for days in a chemical quarantine to ensure no foreign pests or diseases enter into the United States as they cross borders.

Local flowers don’t have to go through such a crazy journey to get to their end consumer. You can know exactly where your flowers were grown, when they were harvested, and what chemicals (or lack thereof) they came into contact with.
